Conference For The Study of Sunspots

It was a really interesting session in that nobody seemed to want to make many bold statements about the spots - at least in any stretched out kind of way. There was however a brief mention about the predictability of the shapes and sizes of the spots studied today - shapes of the spots tend to be eerily related to the the objects they seem to emanate from. The sizes were almost always big enough to accommodate at least one cat-sized animal or object.
One member was absent due to a sleep study commitment.

I can see how they would affect the weather dramatically- or maybe the gravitational pull. All those kitties in one spot is bound to tilt the earth on its axis a little.
