Week #10 Porch Shot

The changes are probably pretty subtle to most people these days but they're there...bee balm is beginning to open, lawn chairs have moved to accommodate the new blue Hosta that Sarah included with the gift of Solomon's Seal - and at no extra charge I might add...
There is the promise of tomatoes and peppers to come. I think from the looks of the small pepper it's a halapeno. The peas and broccoli and mixed salad greens have pretty well passed on. Yesterday I pulled out all the gigantic salad plants to prepare for a second salad planting. I'm intrigued with finding some Romanesque broccoli ( it has the most interesting growth pattern) to start since the Broc did so well much to my surprise. Broccoli will be much happier with cooler weather at the end of August into September right up until the first hard frost.

I'm guessing there'll be winter again at some point? Not now - later on this fall....
